Blog!

25th July 2010

What a "brilliant" afternoon at the Love's Farm Big lunch. A very good turn out by residents which made a good atmosphere and the weather was kind to us aswell. A big thank you to Serena, Katie and Wendy who organised the event, I thought the games went down well and most people joined in.

Looking forward to the next event now which I think is the AGM including a Disco/Ball later.

P.S  Will be posting Pics of The Big Lunch in the gallery in a few day!!

No joy at the world cup and out of Wimbledon, No change there then!
On a good note, I have had a couple of emails from people who are going to be moving on Love’s Farm later this year saying that they were very impressed with the website (gloat!) and have been updated with events and progress on Love’s Farm and looking forward to moving in.
We have a notice board, which is located on the ground, which is where our community centre will be going near The Round House School. A big thank you to Philip Gibbs who put some hard work in making the notice board for us.
Hope everybody as enjoyed the lovely weather we have had over the last couple of weeks and I managed to find some time to have another walk around Love’s Farm, Lots of new residents now settled into there new homes. The houses are still going up just as fast and selling before being completed, keep up the good work.

See you soon

“Good news!” Yesterday the cabinet went in our favour to run the Community Centre at Love’s Farm. Now the hard work start’s trying to get it built. As we are on the subject we need more people on the separate committee for the Community centre, so come on residents of Love’s Farm we need your help!

Things are still moving fast on the building front BPHA have just released 2 parcels of houses and flats and I have seen a lot of people moving in opposite me. I have already spoke to a couple of families and seem very interested in what we are doing as a community association. Helen LFCA Member will be going round to all the new residents with a welcome letter and introducing herself shortly, so if there is anything you need to know she will be able to help.

I also want to remind all residents on Love’s Farm we are not just here for BPHA residents we are here for Private residents as well. I still get the impression that a lot of people don’t come forward because of that reason.
Ok peeps see you soon,

Ed.

Ps.Come on England good luck for tonight…………..

OMG!! where as the time gone, Sorry it's been so long but have been a "tad" busy. There as been a lot happening since my last blog, Here goe's

There was a Neighbourhood watch meeting last wednesday which i believe was a success and if you dont know the Neighbourhood watch scheme is being set up by PCSO Carol and Katie Baldwin and so far they have 30 residents across Love's Farm who want to be involved, That is brilliant.

On the housing front we now have aprox. 400 occuppied properties at Love's Farm and growing by the week.

I have got to mention the Community Cookbook which is well under way, We have 50 entries which are being compiled. We will be selling the book for £2 per copy and all proceed's going to Love's Farm Community Association and it's all down to the children at The Round House School for doing a "brilliant job" also a big thank you to the teacher who set it as homework! There was three winner's in the competition and Sarah Gower our resident curate, will be handing out Prizes and a certificate.

Last but not least i'm off out tonight and the rest of the LFCA members to a annual BPHA "voluntees thank you event" This event ia a thany you to residents who work with others as part of one of BPHA's registered groups for the good of their community.

Think I have said enough now because my hands ache now!!

PS.  What a cracking week weather wise roll on more hot spells..............

20th April 2010

Summer's here at last, well i think. What a lovely weekend especially when you are on the norfolk broads which I was

As I was taking my daughter to the Playgroup I saw plenty of Green bags At the side of the road which must mean the Spring clean at love's farm was a success, A big thank you to everybody who helped!

I can not believe how fast the the houses are going up now, It seems like one day they are putting the foundations in and then the next they are up to roof level and have sold signs on them. Lots of new faces waliking about the site now.

How many of you have walked around Love's farm? If you get the chance you need to because the path which goes right round the edge of love's farm is "brilliant". They have put a lot of hard work into the landscaping and now the better weather is here makes a nice walk.

I am hoping to keep this blog updated at least once a week so you get an idea of the progress on the love's farm.

see you soon,

Ed.
