Bpha development sites-
Kiers sites- Parcels K1 & H4 (69 units) have now been completed and the first of the new residents should start moving in any day now. The remaining 2 parcels C1 & G3 (61 units) are due to be completed in early June. We would hope that by the end of July all 130 units should be occupied giving the residents a chance to enjoy the summer at Loves Farm.
At Christmas we entered into contract with two contractors- SDC & Hill Partnerships to develop 6 further parcels of land. Two of these parcels will complete the frontage to Cambridge Road and the other 4 will start the ‘market square’ area of the development. SDC have 4 parcels of land that will create 93 new homes. Hill Partnerships have 2 parcels of land that will create 97 homes. Both contractors are proposing to use similar construction methods. The homes will be constructed with timber frame and enclosed by a mixture of bricks, render and timber cladding. The units will be heated by gas fired boilers and some of the units will be fitted with solar panels and PV’s (photovoltaic panels). This will mean that the units will have the majority of their hot water heated by the sun, as well as having some of their electricity generated freely. The first of the units will be completed in late October, with the remaining units taken on a phased basis through to March 2011.
