After the first Planning aplication being rejected and a long drawn out wait a revised Planning aplication goes to the Planning Committee on 27th February 2012. Hopefully (fingers crossed) it will be Aproved and we can start building!!

We have a update on the Community Centre and it is finally going to the planning committee in August, Not sure what date but will let you know when we know.

I feel I had better explain the current situation in a little more detail than I might have done some time ago. The reason being that we are again on “Hold”. This is quite unexpected and uncalled for on the Association’s behalf.
You will be aware that an additional planning application has been submitted by Gallagher (the Love’s farm developer), To allow additional houses to be built on several areas of land, which would otherwise become derelict and overgrown. One of the areas involved is a small parcel of ground opposite the MUGA (multi-use Games Area), At the football ground end of Kester Way. This is the same MUGA that our young people are helping to design.
One of our “Main” committee members made the suggestion that this area, Bounded by the football pitch, The railway line, A car park and a cul-de-sac would be a better proposition for the community centre than for housing units.
There has to be a thorough investigation of the possibilities, Legalities and contractual responsibilities before it will be possible to exchange sites, If at all.
You are now up to speed with what is happening, I can assure you that a decision will be made as soon as possible.
