A14 Update Proposals

You may have seen news reports recently about the Government's proposals to upgrade the A14 around Huntingdon. What you may not have realised is that these will have a direct impact on Love's Farm, as one of the proposed alternate routes for heavy goods traffic not willing to pay the toll is via the A1 and A428, passing near our estate.

Those who use the A428 regularly complain that it struggles to cope with traffic during rush hour currently. This proposal would, in all likelihood, see the A428 carry much more traffic than it does today. One of the objections to new housing developments in St Neots is the bottleneck formed by the A428, which could be expected to get much worse once the toll on the A14 is in operation.

The consultation has been announced, and details of how to submit your views can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/a14-cambridge-to-huntingdon-improvement-scheme

The deadline for submissions is 13th October 2013.
