Love’s Farm community survey - findings presented

The results of Cambridgeshire County Council's recent survey of Love's Farm show a high number of families with young children living there, and highlight London as a major centre of employment for residents, along with the significance of St. Neots as a local employer. Almost half of all those participating in the survey intend to remain on Love's Farm for at least 5 years, emphasising the generally positive views that many respondents have about living there. A summary of the findings was presented to the Love’s Farm Community Association at the end of February 2018.

The survey was held to find out more about who is living on Love's Farm 10 years after the first homes were built there to further understanding of local demand for services. More than 400 responses were received, with a third responding online. Between November 2017 and February 2018 surveys were sent to Love's Farm’s residents, asking about:

  • the home they moved from and why
  • the home they moved to and why
  • information about the people living in the household
  • their work, study and travel patterns, and
  • their opinions about living on Love’s Farm.

The survey results will be used to inform local planning of services at Love’s Farm and other new communities developing across Cambridgeshire. The presentation is available at https://cambridgeshireinsight.org.uk/housing/priority-themes/new-homes-communities/
