Become a Volunteer Youth Worker

Fancy a challenge, enjoy working with young people and have bags of enthusiasm? Can you spare a couple of hours on Tuesdays, 5.15pm to 7.45pm – even once a month – at Roundhouse Primary School? Then we need your help supporting Love's Farm's youth club.

Maybe you have a skill in sport, art or craft that you could offer to young people.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Hours of work:

Tuesday, 5.15 to 7.45pm
Term time only

Responsible to:

Chair (YSP Director group)

Job Purpose

  • To support the development of youth provision
  • To support the lead youth worker with planning and organizing
  • To have an understanding with regard to the needs of young people
  • To be confident and be able to challenge young people
  • To be able to build up a rapport with young people
  • The role is time limited due to funding restraints
  • To be able to work under pressure
  • To participate in any internal/external meetings as required
  • To attend training as requested

The duties and responsibilities in this job description are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake any other duties within the scope of the post, which may be required from time to time within the post. Any such duties should not however substantially change the general character of the post.
